Lyreco announce launch of the new 2012 catalogue
Lyreco in the UK and Ireland are delighted to announce the launch of the new 2012 catalogue.
This year’s catalogue is bigger and better than ever before with over 1300 new products added, giving our customers a much wider range of products to choose from. We have also added some new ranges this year such as Winter products, Smart Phone and Tablet accessories, Health and Safety signs and our newly launched Shredding service.
Now with over 6300 products to choice from, with both branded and own brand options, Lyreco offer everything you need for your office. All these products are stocked in our warehouse and are on our next day delivery service.
The catalogue has again been printed on 100% recycled paper to assist in Lyreco’s environmental commitments.

Lyreco announce 2 new commercial partnerships in South America
Lyreco have today announced they have entered into commercial partnerships with Inforshop and Marken, two fast-growing and leading office supplies distributors in their respective markets.
 
Founded in 1986 and based in São Paulo (Brazil), Inforshop is among the leading office supplies distributors in Brazil. Inforshop has a turnover of € 85 million and offers coverage to its customers in all 26 Brazilian states.
 
Founded in 2001 and based in Buenos Aires, Marken is a fast-growing contract stationer in the highly fragmented Argentinean market. With a turnover of € 4.5 million, Marken is the market leader and is in the process of building a brand new distribution centre.
 
Lyreco are delighted to enter into a partnership with both companies who share the same common values as Lyreco, which is to achieve market leadership and constantly look to improve their service proposition.
 
The partnerships represent Lyreco’s first steps into South America to assist in with our global expansion.  Lyreco now covers 37 countries, 27 on its own and 10 through our 7 strategic partners.

Lyreco and Iron Mountain announce Partnership to launch Document Shredding Service
Lyreco in the UK and Ireland have today announced an innovative partnership with one of the market leaders in secure shredding, Iron Mountain, to provide a secure Document Shredding Service.
 
Iron Mountain has been selected due to their extensive experience and creative approach in meeting the needs of businesses. Additionally, their ability to provide high levels of service is in line with Lyreco’s service strategy.
 
Fraud in the UK and Ireland is said to cost at least £38 billion each year and with stringent data protection legislation now in place the safe destruction of Company’s data is of high priority to businesses. Lyreco in the UK and Ireland have now developed a solution to help assist their customers with this ongoing challenge.  Customers are now able to purchase shredding bags in packs of 5 bags, which can be easily ordered and collected by the Lyreco drivers.

10/12/11 - 2012 Diaries
Lyreco report a “Bumper” year on Diary Sales

Lyreco have today announced that they have seen a huge increase on sales of their Dated products including 2012 Dairies and Planners

Adam Ward, Lyreco Product Manager commented that “we have seen massive growth and a huge increase in sales of our diary products since their release in July this year, we believe there are a lot less “free diaries” in the market place as  companies are no longer giving away free diaries to their customers, Lyreco have seen this trend over the last couple of years and so we have encouraged our customers to order their stocks early. We still have plenty of stock, but we would encourage customers to order early to avoid disappointment as our Branded and own brand products are selling very quickly indeed!”

We are proud to launch our New Products Brochure which offers over 240 new products to our customers.

The brochure features two brand new products ranges - winter products and legal and professional filing products. The brochure also features additional hygiene products, signs, consumables and much more.

09/12/11 - LYRECO APPOINTMENT
NEW HR DIRECTOR

Lyreco are delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Renton as the new HR Director for Lyreco in the UK and Ireland.

Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience within HR, having graduated with a BA (Hons) in HR Management and then working in the airline, service and manufacturing industries.  Her most recent experience comes from a fast paced, retail distribution HR role with TK Maxx.

Sarah will head up both the HR team and Lyreco’s own in house Training and Development Department.  Lyreco pride themselves on the ongoing training and development of all of its employees through an internal training school programme.

Sarah said “I am delighted to join Lyreco at such an exciting time of growth and innovation.  With my team, I am very much looking forward to making a positive difference to the business, to support the many projects which will drive the business forward”.

Lyreco launches dedicated Sustainable Development Website

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Lyreco Sustainable Development website.

 

This site will give customers the opportunity to stay fully up-to-date with sustainable developments and actions of the company.

 

The website will provide a central hub of information to provide transparency on Lyreco’s stance and actions on both the environment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

 

Dave Walmsley, Lyreco Managing Director, said “Sustainable Development has always been at the heart of Lyreco’s actions and the launch of the website will keep our customers informed of our new developments, but will also inspire them to drive ‘SD’ iniatives throughout their own  businesses.  This can only be positive for business and the wider community.

 

To mark the launch of the website, Lyreco are donating hundreds of trees to schools in the local area.  The first trees were planted at Southall School in Dawley, by Lyreco MD, Dave Walmsley and the Schools Deputy Head Chris Lloyd.

 

The majority of trees will be donated to schools in September on their return from the Summer break.
