LYRECO FOR EDUCATION SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION OF CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE WORLD


It means a great deal to Lyreco to support and promote the education of children around the world, because children are our future and their future starts with proper access to education. Having access to schooling ensures children enter the education system and benefit from appropriate care and nutrition giving them a better chance to succeed in life.  In 2009 Lyreco for Education initiated a partnership with AEA to support a project in the Phu Long District in Vietnam.

In 2009, Lyreco For Education establishes a partnership with AEA to develop the Phu Luong Project.

The funds generated by Lyreco for Education in 2009 helped:

1. Support 4 schools

2. Renovated 20 classrooms
3. Built 4 outdoor playgrounds
4. Developed appropriate structures of education to allow children to access schools (train teachers, provide with furniture, increase parents' awareness of care and nutrition, create links between the school and families...).

In 2009 the aim was to raise enough money to renovate 20 classrooms and allow as many children as possible to access school.

As customers, you will get the possibility to support the Lyreco for Education project through promotional campaigns throughout the year.

  • • only 59% of children in the district go to school
  • • 70% of classes in the district are organised either at home or in warehouses
 
Enabling children to have access to school in developing countries is not only about making sure they actually enter the education system.
It also grants them access to appropriate care, vaccination programs, nutrition and strives to give them an equal chance to succeed in life.
